Frequently Asked Questions

Can My Older Kids Play?

Children older than 6 years are welcome to come and quietly hang out in a seating area, reading or playing on a tablet. They are also welcome to enjoy our art room activities. However for the safety of our little ones in the play area, we kindly ask that they not participate on the play floor, other than assisting in play as parents do. We understand that some older children are still young at heart and may have a hard time with this rule, but it is in the best interest of the little ones playing. We apologize for any inconvenience.

What if my family has special needs?

We strive to provide an environment that children of all abilities feel safe and comfortable playing. At Kids Corner we celebrate differences and neurodiversity. From our montessori style play areas to the muted colors and the calming music we play, we hope you and your child feel comfortable playing here and enjoy all aspects of our play space. If there are any accommodations that we need to make for you and your child we will do our best to see them through.  We want this to be a fun environment for everyone but also a respectful one.

What are your cleaning procedures?

Our dedicated cleaning crew constantly wipes down toys and play areas throughout the entire day. At the end of every day, hard surfaces are thoroughly cleaned and mopped, carpets are vacuumed and the air is purified with diffused Plant Therapy essential oils. We only use non-toxic, plant based cleaning supplies on toys and play surfaces, however floors are mopped with an EPA grade disinfectant.

If a toy is placed in the childs mouth, we ask that you place that toy in our "Yuck Bucket" once he/she is done playing with it so that it can be sanitized.

Is this a drop off daycare?

No, this is not a drop off daycare and children can not be left unattended. Parents are encouraged to interact with their littles on the play floor or cozy up on one of our lounge areas while their kiddos play. Kids Corner staff is not responsible for watching children at any time, but we are here for you if you need assistance or a hand with anything, just let a staff member know.

Can I share my membership with a friend or family member?

No, memberships are not transferable. Family memberships are for your household members only. If a friend or cousin is tagging along for the day, we ask that you purchase a single use play pass for that child unless their family also has a membership.

Grandparents/ Nanny's/ etc. are allowed to bring your child under their membership.

Do we have to clean up the toys we play with?

We want everyone to have fun, but we do ask that toys be returned to their respective stations once a child is done playing with it so that everyone else can enjoy a full play experience. We want everyone that walks in the door to have a full play experience, so you will notice staff walking around resetting play stations from time to time during your visit. It is never our intention to interfere with imaginative play, so we will try not to enter any station that is actively being played with.

Do we have to take our shoes off?

Yes, we ask that everyone take their shoes off and wear socks on the play floor. Grippy socks are required for children ages 0-6. Any socks will do for adults. We are a no shoes facility for the safety of the little ones who are crawling around on the floor and for cleanliness. If you or your child have a medical reason to keep shoes on, we totally understand and are happy to make that exception, we just ask that you let a staff member know your family's needs. We do have child sized grippy socks available for purchase at the counter and adult sized socks. Please do not go barefoot in our facility.

Are outside food and beverages allowed?

Yes. We ask that food not be brought onto the play floor, however we do have a few tables and chairs around the building that you and your littles are welcome to sit at for a snack or drink.  We do have some snack foods available for purchase and a complimentary beverage station for parents and caregivers. If you are scheduled for a private event, please relay all outside food items being brought in so that we can provide you with a table for them.

Is there a capacity for open play time?

Yes. We do have a capacity that we have to adhere by. If you are concerned about capacity, please feel free to call ahead before coming to play. We will try to update our social media pages when we are close to or at capacity.  Membership holders will be given first priority to entry if we reach capacity.

If you have already purchased your play passes online and we are at capacity when you arrive, you may redeem your pass at any time of your convenience M-F.
